SHIELD Academy
Open House
Everyone is congregated in the spacious auditorium of the SHIELD Academy. The noise level is probably a decibel below deafening and the lights are probably a little dimmer than what might seem normal for this time in the evening, but it doesn't seem to bother anyone as they just carry on. There are banners strewn about welcoming all first years to a new chapter in their lives while others welcome the others back for another year at the Academy. Refreshments are served up on stage while other tables set up around the massive room are home to pamphlets and flyers for clubs and classes. Special electives and advertisements for training sessions are also littered amongst the tables.

Make a few friends, find old ones, look into clubs that catch your interest. This is open house for all returning students and prospective students, so hang out, hit up others and just mingle!

Tommy, as usual, can't stay in one place, so he darts in and out of the crowd timing his landings perfectly between beats in whatever song is playing just for fun. There's a lot of familiar faces around, as well a new ones and he's mostly just glad that the school will be full again and he can interact with more people than just the summer boarders like himself.

It's so much easier to get away with things when there are more students that could have been the perpetrator.

Loki can share those sentiments completely. He's been mingling about with ease, pretending to be the social butterfly that he puts on because it's just so much easier that way, but from time to time he does notice the blurry streak of the snow-topped speedster, only with thanks to his own enhanced perception.

Loki had taken note of a pattern in Tommy's brief stops and landings as having to do with the beat of whatever song was playing at the moment, whether it had been a conscious device for amusement to Tommy or a subconscious act. With predictions of a mental capacity far above human, he positioned himself at a predicted stop given Tommy's trajectory. He was smirking lightly and holding one of the punch bowl cups out when the zippy mutant came to a brief landing.

Sif has just picked up a plate of snacks when a form blurs past her and she blinks for a moment before grinning, because the other senior is one familiar to her. And while she might not have gotten a good look at him, there's not many people here it could be. So she waits, catching glimpses of him here and there, and when he comes speeding back in her direction one of these times, she speaks before he gets there, figuring he'll probably hear her anyway. She can probably track him a little easier than a mortal can, but still not perfectly.

"I see you have gotten better at avoiding clumsy freshman in these crowds at last, Tommy Shepherd."
