SHIELD Academy
Open House
Everyone is congregated in the spacious auditorium of the SHIELD Academy. The noise level is probably a decibel below deafening and the lights are probably a little dimmer than what might seem normal for this time in the evening, but it doesn't seem to bother anyone as they just carry on. There are banners strewn about welcoming all first years to a new chapter in their lives while others welcome the others back for another year at the Academy. Refreshments are served up on stage while other tables set up around the massive room are home to pamphlets and flyers for clubs and classes. Special electives and advertisements for training sessions are also littered amongst the tables.

Make a few friends, find old ones, look into clubs that catch your interest. This is open house for all returning students and prospective students, so hang out, hit up others and just mingle!

[ Natasha laughs at that, giving the girl a crooked smile as she lets her go, tucking her hands into her pockets instead. ]

Don't worry about it. And you've got plenty of time, you know. The clubs aren't going anywhere and you've got an entire year to try them out. Well, four, technically, if you decide to stick around," she added with a smirk. "Hey, Darcy. I'm Natasha."

"I just want to make sure I have a solid start. I have a plan."

Or rather, her mother has a plan. That's definitely more accurate. There are certain things she has to accomplish in the next four years to have rock solid applications to any colleges of her choosing.

"It's nice to meet you. So, what year are you since I'm guessing you're definitely not a first year."

"A plan? You're a terrifying first year," Natasha laughs, looking amused by this declaration. "And I'm a third year. Iv'e been here a while."

She blushes a little, adjusting the strap of her bag. "I do what I can."

She gives her an arch of the eyebrow, resisting the urge to pull a pen and paper out of her bag so she could take notes.

"So, any tips on surviving the first year?"

"Tip One: Try not to get trampled your first day," Natasha advised in amusement. "Tip Two: Don't worry so much about plans and enjoy yourself. First year is all about adapting here and learning the ropes. You have plenty of time to solidify a plan as you go. Besides, if you make one at the start, you'll just end up tossing it out the window a week in because nothing's what you expect here."
