Lydia's Thread

She's a highly organized girl who more or less attacks everything in her life with an eye for how to make things fit. Which makes the fact that she is somehow managing to fit an excessive amount of wardrobe into the minimal closet and shelving offerings of her bedroom with ease. The door is open, and every now and again she angles her head to look beyond it into the central room to see if any of the others have arrived yet.

By the time anyone does, she's moved on from clothing to books, stacking them in neat order; alphabetical by author.

Sam's thread

It's been about an hour and Sam's room already looks like a bomb hit it. There's clothes on the bed that he hasn't got around to putting away yet, and a few books and comics that he got distracted by while putting things away. He'd brought his games and DVDs because how better to try to make friends than by destroying them at MarioKart or having a marathon film session?

Oh yeah, there's school books too. Somewhere. He's pretty sure he'd packed them at least.

Allison is the last to move in, minimalist in her dormitory belongs; it's a habit of hers after a life of moving constantly. There are some knickknacks, small frames, a few posters, things she decided to bring in last year, small signs of her personality.

After making her bed, she has kicked off her shoes and socks, standing on the flat sheet and attempting to tack up a Toulouse-Lautrec poster on the wall. Her door is wide open for roommates and visitors.
