When: The day after the mixer
Rating:PG-13 for boys being... well, teenage boys
Summary: It's back to school time! Time to meet those roomies again.
Teddy flopped on his bed the moment he finished unpacking. Damn, he missed this place. He didn't realize just how much until mid July. That's when the summer was starting to become unbearable and he was itching to just get back here. No one asked him questions, no one held anything over his head or told him he was an alien freak. He was around others just like him and that made such a difference that a weight felt as though it was lifted off of his shoulders.
He stared up at the ceiling for a minute, happy to see that his glow in the dark stars had made it through a summer of re-painting the dorms, before he stood up and walked into the common area. He sat down on the couch and fiddled with the tv, waiting to see which one of his roommates would show up first. Whoever it was, he was sure to lend a helping hand.

Date: 2014-08-11 02:51 am (UTC)"A tour? Of the campus? I don't think that will be necessary," He dug one of the Academy brochures out of his pocket, complete with a rudimentary map on the back.
"I don't 'play' any sports, no. I've been told I can do mixed martial arts and other kinds of fighting here, though," He swished his lips to the side in contemplation, "I'll probably just continue my training.
Can you fight? Or do you play a sport?"
His tone was ever so slightly condescending, but, in reality, he just didn't see any point, besides exercise, in playing games when you could be learning useful skills.

Date: 2014-08-11 02:51 pm (UTC)He didn't mind the tone. Daken was a new student in a strange place. It was normal to be a bit standoffish until you really got to know someone. Teddy knew all about that. It wasn't long ago he was a new kid trying to find his place.
"I play football here," Teddy said with a smile. "And I attend the training sessions. They assign them according to your different skill sets. Training is fun but I like playing sports. It's almost like being a superhero for an hour or two."
