SHIELD Academy
Open House
Everyone is congregated in the spacious auditorium of the SHIELD Academy. The noise level is probably a decibel below deafening and the lights are probably a little dimmer than what might seem normal for this time in the evening, but it doesn't seem to bother anyone as they just carry on. There are banners strewn about welcoming all first years to a new chapter in their lives while others welcome the others back for another year at the Academy. Refreshments are served up on stage while other tables set up around the massive room are home to pamphlets and flyers for clubs and classes. Special electives and advertisements for training sessions are also littered amongst the tables.

Make a few friends, find old ones, look into clubs that catch your interest. This is open house for all returning students and prospective students, so hang out, hit up others and just mingle!

Gwen laughs. "True, but I only seem to pass gym by the skin of my teeth, and I can't throw a punch to save my life." She really envied Natasha's natural athleticism.

"Well, if you ever want help practicing or perfecting it, lemme know. I can always help. It's only fair, since I'm not sure I'd have gotten through science without you, these past few years."

"I may just take you up on that. It probably wouldn't hurt to be able to actually land a punch." Gwen smiled. "So who are you rooming with this year?"

"Blake," Natasha laughs, because this is still amusing the hell out of her. "We also have America and Phil. Although I'm probably going to have my hands full trying to keep Blake from murdering him. I'm guessing they're not going to end up bff's. What about you?"

Gwen had to laugh at that. "You're going to have your hands full with that entire room. I got stuck with three transfers this year, so I have no idea what I'm in for. I may have to hide out in your room."

[spiderette]

"My couch is always open," Natasha grins. "You just have to not mind the boys. Or Blake. Really, I should just amend all warnings to include Blake when it comes to my room." She still says it fondly, because he's one of her best friends here and she's thrilled to be rooming with him. Nothing will be boring, that's for sure.

"But the transfers are exciting though. That could be cool. We've got a lot of them this year, don't we?"

"I think all warning include Blake, whether in regard to your room or not," Gwen smirked. Blake was always a handful but if anyone could attempt to keep him in line it was definitely Natasha.

"More transfers then I've seen in the past. They must have been busy recruiting this summer."

"You noticed that too, huh?" Natasha asks, glancing around at all the unfamiliar faces. "Wonder why? Not that I'm complaining. I'm always for getting some new people. And as for Blake, probably, but he's awesome so we'll forgive him."
