Loki's lip quirked up just a bit. The All-Speak was a glorious thing. "Arigatou Gozaimasu." But Salem seemed to be a bit pushy with her questions, not that Loki minded too much. He was used to the suspicion from most, given who he was. It was no different back home, though he knew not why.
"I'm Loki Odinson of Asgard and I can assure you, this is not of my doing. ...so far as I'm aware." His answer was simple but truthful, nevertheless. "This power?" He nodded to the door and raised the hand holding the ball of light to indicate it as well. "Magic. And I'm not being sarcastic. A simple lighting spell and a barrier spell. They're tedious to maintain, as they require a steady flow, but I have magic abound. I could last for days just like this." Well, maybe not quite days, but he could maintain the lighting spell for that much and longer.
"I'm a student here. Fourth year Senior, to be exact. Is there a reason for your drilling, or are you just curious? You know what they say about curiosity and cats..." He gave a light shrug. It was an innocent statement. "As I've introduced myself, it's only polite for the fair lady and her furry companion to give me the same courtesy."
