These are the things that give Stiles faith in Lydia. Perhaps it's misplaced faith. Perhaps, she's just being a good friend, but Stiles always sees it as 'one of these days'. In any case, he does need the help and when Lydia offered it, Stiles had jumped at the chance despite the fact that he'd had to wake up early. He brings two strong coffees to the lab with him, passing one over to Lydia as he starts digging his science work out of his bag.
Stiles knows Gwen only in passing, but he nods a sort of good morning and feels a little guilty for not bringing three coffees.
