"He deserved it," she replies flippantly with a wave of one hand. Her hair's gathered up on top of her head in half a dozen tiny pigtails to keep her curls out of her face and she's grinning at him, flushed from exertion. "I caught him checking out my ass while I was dealing with his friend over there."
