Maybe it was shameless flirting, but she was having fun with it. In light of what she'd observed about him, she didn't necessarily trust him even as far as she could throw him with her pinky finger, but she did like him. He was fun and he'd make her time here at Shield Academy more enjoyable and interesting. She was sure of that much.
